Wrestling Rolls into State Dual Tournament
January 15, 2026 | ST. AUGUSTINE, FL – Bulldog Wrestling continued its dominant run this season as Flagler Palm Coast captured victories in both the Region I-3A Quarterfinal and Semifinal dual matches this week.
In the quarterfinals, the Bulldogs rolled past the Oakleaf Knights with an emphatic 54-20 win. FPC controlled the match from the opening whistle, with Jacob Hald (106 lbs.), Joseph Dailey (115 lbs.), Kevin McLean (122 lbs.), Trey Twilley (134 lbs.), Lenny Fries (140 lbs.), Mike Fries (152 lbs.), Roden Ricks (167 lbs.), Joseph Foalima (177 lbs.), and Doyvonne Leadon (192 lbs.) all earning victories by fall.
FPC then faced the Buchholz Bobcats in the regional semifinal, a rematch of the district championship dual that saw the Bulldogs edge out a narrow 33-29 victory. This time, however, there was no doubt. The Bulldogs dominated from start to finish, cruising to a convincing 54-21 win. Jacob Hald (106 lbs.), Joseph Dailey (115 lbs.), Kevin McLean (122 lbs.), Trey Twilley (134 lbs.), Gabe Moy (146 lbs.), Roden Ricks (167 lbs.), and Joseph Foalima (177 lbs.) all secured pins, while Lenny Fries, Doyvonne Leadon, and Aiden Korth added key victories to seal the match. With the win, the Bulldogs advance to the FHSAA State Dual Tournament, where they will face the Hagerty Huskies in the Region I-3A Championship on Friday, January 23 at 5:00 p.m. in Kissimmee.
