Lady Bulldogs Claim 5th at Spikes & Spurs Classic
BUNNELL, FL (FPCSports.com) — August 22, 2025
The Flagler Palm Coast girls cross country team turned in a top-five performance on Saturday at the 14th Annual Spikes & Spurs Classic, finishing 5th overall with 149 points in a highly competitive field featuring more than 20 programs from across Florida.
Junior standout Arianna Slaughter led the way with a stellar performance, placing 2nd overall in a time of 20:15.3. Slaughter battled Creekside’s Eva Delaney, who took the individual title, but secured a clear runner-up finish to give the Bulldogs an early low score.
Close behind was sophomore Anna Grigoruk, who impressed with an 8th-place finish (20:49.6), and senior Audrey Bowman, who clocked a 21:47.5 for 16th place. Together, the trio gave FPC three runners in the top 20, a mark that few teams in the field could match.
The Bulldogs’ scoring was rounded out by Everly Mucciolo (83rd, 25:32.2) and Seraphina Morris (85th, 25:39.4), who secured critical points to lock down the 5th-place team standing.
As a team, FPC’s 149 points placed them ahead of regional rivals Lake Mary (177) and Tocoi Creek (184), while finishing just behind Hagerty (139). Creekside dominated the meet with just 26 points, followed by Beachside (113), Ponte Vedra (137), and Hagerty.
The Lady Bulldogs will carry this momentum into next week’s Florida Horse Park Invitational in Ocala.
