Girls Wrestling Region Runner-Up

February 21st, 2026 | PANAMA CITY, FL –  Flagler Palm Coast Girls Wrestling delivered an impressive performance on Saturday, February 21, finishing as the Region I-IA Runner-Up at Mosley High School.  Leading the way for the Bulldogs was 2024 state champion Joslyn Johnson, who captured the regional title at 105 pounds in dominant fashion. Johnson secured the championship with a first-round pin in 1:46 over Hadessa Manjo Herrera of Winter Springs High School. With the victory, Johnson now sets her sights on joining the list of Bulldog two-time state champions and further cementing her place among the program’s elite.

At 170 pounds, Alexa Calidonio added another gold medal to the Bulldogs’ total, earning a hard-fought 6–4 decision over Tor’rina Rushing of host Mosley High School in one of the day’s most exciting finals matches.  Julianna Mills, who finished second at 110 pounds, and Alisha Vilar, who placed third at 145 pounds both brought home medals and punched their ticket to Kissimmee.  With the postseason momentum building, the Bulldogs now turn their attention to the FHSAA State Championships, scheduled for March 5–7 at Silver Spurs Arena.
