Girls Weightlifting Cruise to Pair of Victories

The Flagler Palm Coast girls weightlifting team turned in a dominant performance at home on November 19, sweeping all three matchups inside the FPC gymnasium. The Bulldogs opened the day with a commanding 73–10 Olympic victory over Taylor, added a 54–36 Traditional win over Nease, and closed out the evening with another Olympic triumph against Taylor, 54–19. FPC showcased strength and depth across every weight class, setting an early-season tone that will be tough for opponents to match.
In the lighter divisions, Alexicia Lilavois kicked things off in the 101-pound class with a 180 total, splitting 90 pounds each in the clean and jerk and snatch. Angelis Rosa continued the momentum in the 110-pound class, posting a 185 total highlighted by a 105-pound clean and jerk. One of the biggest lifts of the night came from 119-pound standout Nya Williams, who dominated her division with a massive 320 total, including 185 in the clean and jerk and 135 in the snatch. At 129 pounds, Gabrilla Garcia delivered a solid 200 total, while in the 139-pound class Lillian Ames added a strong 260 total to help widen the Bulldogs’ lead.
FPC’s upper weight classes were equally impressive. In the 154-pound division, Cali Weehunt finished with a 245 total, and at 169 pounds, Kelsey Coyne contributed a 240 total with an even 140 clean and jerk paired with a 100-pound snatch. In the 183-pound class, Lynnsie Jones secured second place with a 215 total, followed by Kelsi Fedun in the 199-pound division, who tallied an even 200. The Unlimited class saw Aaliyah Williams close out the night with a second-place finish after totaling 190 pounds.
The Bulldogs are back at home on December 3rd as they host Palatka and Menendez at 4:30pm.
