Flagler Palm Coast Dominates Kings of the Platform Invitational at Leesburg High School
March 7th, 2026 | LEESBURG, FL – The Flagler Palm Coast weightlifting team showcased their strength and precision this past Saturday, capturing the top team honors at the Kings of the Platform Invitational hosted at Leesburg High School. With a total of nearly 200 across all divisions, the Bulldogs demonstrated depth across every weight category.
The competition drew some of the state’s top Olympic lifters from schools including Auburndale, DeLand, Leesburg, Citrus, and Wesley Chapel. Flagler Palm Coast’s athletes consistently rose to the occasion, combining excellent technique with impressive totals in both the snatch and clean & jerk.
Standout Performances

Anthony Giacobbe led the 119 lb class with a total of 325 points, lifting 150 in the snatch and 180 in the clean & jerk.

Cody Strawser powered through the 129 lb division, posting a 430 total with a best clean & jerk of 260.

Alex Huynh in the 139 lb class tied for the top Sinclair points with 420, lifting 185 in the snatch and 245 in the clean & jerk.

Jackson Fedun dominated the 169 lb division with a 510 total, earning 308.75 Sinclair points and showcasing his elite technique.

In the heaviest Unlimited class, Matthew McFall led the Bulldogs with a total of 560, combining a 235 snatch with a 325 clean & jerk, solidifying FPC’s team dominance.
Other key contributors included Marldon Alvarado, Gavin Battaglia, Joseph Casanova, and Tyler Davidson, whose totals and Sinclair points were crucial in securing the overall team victory.
