Bulldogs Take Down Palatka in Bowling Match
(FPCSports.com) PALM COAST, Fla. — The FPC Bulldogs boys bowling team put on a strong showing on Thursday night, defeating Palatka with consistent play across both games. Led by senior Anthony Seely, who rolled a 215 in Game 1 and added 160 in Game 2, the Bulldogs got off to a hot start with an 898 total in the opening game, topping Palatka’s 798. Sophomore Robert Woods also came up big, shooting a 205 in the first game and following it with a team-high 243 in Game 2. Despite a stronger second game from Palatka, who posted 864 pins, FPC’s depth proved too much. Key contributions from Logan Beverly (193/145), Jason Gall (160), and Cole Osypean (125/155) secured an 818 second-game total, sealing the Bulldogs’ win.
“This was a solid performance across the board,” said head coach Kevin Hand. “Our guys stayed focused after a strong first game and finished it out in the second. Robert and Anthony set the tone, and the rest of the team followed their lead.” With the win, the Bulldogs continue to build momentum as they head deeper into the season.
The FPC girls bowling team delivered a commanding performance also on Thursday, defeating Palatka 7-0 behind consistent scoring and a strong finish in Baker play. The Bulldogs jumped out early with a 737 total in Game 1, paced by Destiny’s 157, Mya’s 159, and steady contributions from Casey (152) and Kalyn (133). The momentum carried into Game 2, where Mya again led the way with a 168 and Destiny chipped in 134 to help secure a 651 second-game total. FPC stayed hot in the Baker games, sweeping all three with scores of 91, 146, and 125 for a 362-pin Baker total — completing the 7-0 match sweep. With the victory, the Lady Bulldogs improve their overall series total to 1,750 pins on the night and continue to build momentum heading into the heart of their season.
