PALM COAST, Fla. (FPCSports.com) — The Flagler Palm Coast girls volleyball team continued its strong start to the season Thursday night, sweeping Pine Ridge 3-0 inside the Anderson Athletic Center on September 10.  The victory improved the Bulldogs’ record to 9-1 as FPC combined an efficient attack with aggressive serving and steady defensive play to secure the straight-set win.

Grace Taylor led the Bulldogs at the net with a match-high 12 kills on 32 attacks. The senior also contributed seven service aces, 10 assists and eight digs in an impressive all-around performance. Kaitlyn Ebding added 10 kills, six aces, six digs and three assists. She committed only four attacking errors across 28 attempts and finished with a .214 hitting percentage.

Peyton Smith recorded three kills and added an ace, while Elsie Marks and Aidamarys Bailey-Ortiz each finished with two kills. Bailey-Ortiz converted both of her error-free attacks and posted a team-best .400 hitting percentage. Eliza Goco added one kill on her only attempt and joined Taylor with a solo block. Tatum Hamilton helped direct the FPC offense with a team-high 11 assists while adding an ace and a dig. Brie Sproul contributed six assists, two aces and a team-leading 12 digs from the back row. Josie Newman added two digs as the Bulldogs finished the match with 34 as a team.

The sweep gave the Bulldogs their ninth victory through the first 10 matches of the season and continued their strong play on their home court inside the Anderson Athletic Center.
