PALM COAST, Fla. (FPCSports.com) — The Flagler Palm Coast swim teams turned in a dominant performance Wednesday afternoon, sweeping Atlantic in a home dual meet on September 17. The FPC girls earned a 94-46 victory over the Sharks, while the Bulldog boys rolled to a 95-26 win.

After Atlantic opened the girls meet by winning the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle, the Bulldogs took control by winning each of the final nine events.

Ella Yorgey led the way with victories in the 200 individual medley (2:51.13) and 100 backstroke (1:17.68). Jade Hreib swept the sprint freestyle events, winning the 50 freestyle in 33.25 and the 100 freestyle in 1:14.78. Stella Guymon also collected two individual victories, finishing first in the 100 butterfly (1:16.97) and 100 breaststroke (1:27.90). Emma Gilbert won the 400 freestyle in 5:17.39. Rhiley Albin, Ariella Riendeau and Madelyn O’Neill helped the Bulldogs win the 200 freestyle relay, while Gilbert, Yorgey, Hreib and Guymon combined to close the meet with a victory in the 400 freestyle relay.

The FPC boys were in control from the opening event and finished the meet with victories in all 11 events. Alexander Rudik won the 100 butterfly in 1:06.50 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:26.25. Kyle Pawulski added victories in the 200 freestyle (2:19.94) and 100 freestyle (1:01.50), while Noah Roznos captured the 50 freestyle in 26.35. Jordan Whitaker won the 100 backstroke in 1:20.29. The Bulldogs also earned victories in the 200 individual medley and 400 freestyle. Esias Roznos, Maddox Tietje, Caleb Gordon and Alexander Mangal teamed up to win the 200 freestyle relay in 2:06.81. FPC also took first and second place in both the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay, highlighting the Bulldogs’ depth throughout the lineup.

The pair of convincing victories continued a strong start to the season for the Flagler Palm Coast swim program.
