Bulldogs Roll Past Yulee in Homecoming Win 42–14

The Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs delivered a commanding performance Friday night, defeating the visiting Yulee Hornets 42–14 in a non-conference matchup at Sal Campanella Stadium.

Senior quarterback LaDarius Simmons led the way for FPC, completing all five of his pass attempts for 89 yards and a touchdown while adding 73 yards and two more scores on the ground. The balanced Bulldog offense totaled 238 yards, with four different players finding the end zone.

Junior Ehimen Ajede continued to be a spark for the offense, rushing for 46 yards and two touchdowns while adding five receiving yards. Fellow junior Logan Jacobelli hauled in three passes for 59 yards, including a 40-yard touchdown strike from Simmons in the second quarter.  Sophomore Nei’cco Murphy added a key 25-yard reception to move the chains during a first-half scoring drive.

Defensively, the Bulldogs swarmed the Hornets, allowing just 14 points. both coming after halftime. Junior Jacob Harnisch anchored the front seven with six total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a sack. Senior Kenneth Robinson and junior Reagan Melland each recorded a fumble recovery, with Melland’s 41-yard return for a touchdown ignited the FPC sideline to put a stamp on the game in the second half.

Special teams also played a major role. Junior Lucas Siharaj broke free for 90 kickoff return yards, while senior Teagan Paulo and junior Garrett Tucker combined for a perfect night in the kicking game, going 4-for-5 on extra points and adding solid kickoff coverage.

The Bulldogs will look to keep their momentum rolling next week as they are back in district play where they will travel to take on the Spruce Creek Hawks on October 24th at 7:00pm in Port Orange.
