PALM COAST (FPCSports.com) — Early inclement weather and tough field conditions couldn’t slow down the Flagler Palm Coast running attack Friday, October 9, as the Bulldogs powered their way to a 28–7 district victory over the Sandalwood Saints inside Sal Campanella Stadium.

FPC piled up 358 rushing yards on 46 carries, averaging 7.8 yards per attempt, with four different Bulldogs finding the end zone on the ground.

Senior Ehimen Ajede led the charge with 197 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. Ajede averaged 8.2 yards per attempt, providing the Bulldogs with a steady source of offense on a night when the conditions made moving the football a challenge.

Junior Nei’cco Murphy added 92 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, while sophomore Troy Reddin contributed 71 yards and a score on nine attempts. Reddin also reached the end zone for a two-point conversion. Senior Reagan Melland rounded out the touchdown production with a three-yard scoring run.

The Bulldogs finished with 370 yards of total offense, leaning on their offensive line and a deep group of ball carriers to handle the workload.

FPC’s defense matched that physical effort, holding Sandalwood to seven points while recording 10 tackles for loss and three sacks.

Junior Caleb Shamblin led the Bulldogs with 11 tackles, including two for loss and a half-sack. Senior Jacob Harnish added nine tackles, two tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks, while senior Josiah Hathaway contributed eight tackles.

Sophomore Ta’Rius Smith finished with seven tackles and a sack, and junior Kevion Galery added six stops. Junior Cal Zwirn recovered a fumble to give the Bulldogs a takeaway.

Senior Garrett Tucker supplied two extra points to complete FPC’s scoring.

With a productive ground game and a defense that kept the Saints in check, the Bulldogs gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about, delivering a convincing district win at “The Camp.” The Bulldogs return home next Friday October 16th for a huge district showdown against the Creekside Knights at 7:00pm.
