Bulldogs Golf Dominates Bucs in Decisive Win
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Flagler Palm Coast (FPC) Bulldogs Men’s Golf team put together a masterful performance on the road Wednesday afternoon, cruising to a commanding victory over the Mainland Buccaneers with a team score of 164 to Mainland’s 236.
The Bulldogs’ victory was built on exceptional consistency, with four players shooting a 42 or better. FPC saw two golfers finish as co-medalists for the afternoon, demonstrating the depth and talent across the roster. Junior Drew Curley (#2) and freshman sensation Zachary Peterson (#4) both delivered outstanding rounds, carding an matching rounds of +4 over par 40 to lead all competitors. Peterson, playing in his first year, continues to impress, matching the veteran Curley for the low score of the match.
The core of the Bulldogs’ scoring was rounded out by a pair of reliable seniors, Caleb Zarraonandia (#1) and Carson Flis (#3), who each posted a solid 42.
Team Depth Shines
Rounding out the scoring for Flagler Palm Coast were sophomore Alexander Sloan (Seed 5), who finished with a 46, and junior Alex Berenblit (Seed 6), who shot a 49. Every player contributed a sub-50 score, highlighting the deep competitive form of the entire traveling squad.
The dominant 72-stroke victory reinforces the Bulldogs’ position as a formidable competitor in the Class 3A, Region 1, District 3 landscape. FPC will look to carry this momentum into their upcoming matches as they prepare for the conference and district championship series.
