Bulldogs Deliver Strong Performances at 22nd East Coast Classic
The Flagler Palm Coast High School Track & Field program hosted the 22nd Annual East Coast Classic on Friday, February 20, inside Sal Campanella Stadium, welcoming top programs from across the region for a highly competitive early-season meet.
Boys Highlights
Competing in front of the home crowd, the Bulldog boys turned in an outstanding performance, finishing as the meet runner-up in the team standings with 69 points. Junior sprinter Logan Jacobelli set the tone early, capturing first place in the 100 meters with a blazing 10.68 to earn 10 team points.

Senior Jordan Haymon delivered a dominant performance in the 400 meters, winning the event in 47.74, while senior William Roberts added crucial points with a fifth-place finish in the same event. In the hurdles, sophomore Najir Eddins placed second in the 110-meter hurdles (16.34) to add eight team points.
The Bulldogs closed the meet in exciting fashion in the 4×400-meter relay. The team of Logan Jacobelli, Jordan Haymon, Michael Najpaver, and William Roberts raced to a first-place finish in 3:24.70, securing 10 more points and punctuating the night with a strong team statement.
Girls Highlights
The Bulldog girls finished fifth overall with 50.5 team points, highlighted by several event victories and scoring performances.
Senior Karina Marcelus continued her strong season with a first-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles, clocking 14.45 to lead the field. She also added a point in the 200 meters with an eighth-place finish.
In the distance events, senior Arianna Slaughter placed fifth in the 3200 meters (11:37.01), while junior Anna Grigoruk finished seventh (11:44.54) to add key points for the Bulldogs. The 4×100-meter relay team of Danteria Rankin, Taylor Jones, Zariah Jacobs, and Madison Ackron placed fifth overall, contributing additional points in the sprint relay. With strong individual efforts and relay performances across the board, both programs continued to build momentum early in the season while hosting one of the area’s premier meets.
Flagler Palm Coast will now travel to Cocoa Beach on Saturday, February 28, for the Cocoa Invitational. Field events and running events are scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. as the Bulldogs look to carry their success on the road.
