FPC Dominates Season Opening Dual – Rolls Past Fleming Island
December 3rd, 2025 | Palm Coast, FL — The Bulldogs sent a loud message to open the 2025–26 wrestling season, overwhelming perennial power Fleming Island 64–12 in front of a packed home crowd at the Anderson Athletic Center on Wednesday night.
FPC jumped out to an early lead with back-to-back wins from freshman Buster Bossardet, who earned a hard-fought 8–5 decision at 126 pounds, and junior Trey Twilley, who followed with a first-period pin at 132. Lenny Fries added a tight 5–4 victory at 138 before Fleming Island picked up its first win at 144, but that brief momentum shift was quickly erased as the Bulldogs rattled off a streak of dominant victories.
From 150 pounds through heavyweight, FPC’s middle and upper weights took complete control. Michael Fries (150) and Gabriel Moy (157) each delivered pins, while Ronden Ricks posted an 18–3 technical fall at 165. Freshman Joseph Foalima needed just 33 seconds to earn a pin at 175, and Doyvonne Leadon followed with another fall at 190. After Fleming Island managed a pin at 215, heavyweight Aidan Korth answered immediately with a 31-second fall to keep the Bulldogs in firm command.
FPC closed out the varsity lineup with three convincing wins in the lower weights. At 106, freshman Jacob Hald rolled to a 17–2 technical fall in just two minutes. Joseph Dailey added a 33-second pin at 113, and Kevin McLean capped the night with a first-period fall at 120. The trio added 17 more points to finalize the Bulldogs’ 64–12 victory.
The dominant showing gives Flagler Palm Coast strong momentum to open the season as the Bulldogs look poised for another dominant year on the mat. FPC returns to action on Friday as they travel to Orange Park for the Friday Knight Light’s Invitational at Oakleaf High School.
