FPC Takes Down New Smyrna Beach 2–1 in Conference Road Battle
December 2nd, 2025 | New Smyrna Beach, FL —
Flagler Palm Coast Girls Soccer (7-0-1) earned a hard-fought and important conference victory on Tuesday defeating New Smyrna Beach 2–1 on the road in a tightly contested matchup.
The Bulldogs struck first when Hailey Sammons buried an early chance, giving FPC momentum in the opening stretch. New Smyrna Beach battled back to level the score, but FPC continued to press and create opportunities.
Midway through the match, Lauralee MacLeod delivered what proved to be the decisive goal, finishing a critical chance to put the Bulldogs ahead 2–1. From there, FPC leaned on its defensive discipline to close out the win. A major reason the Bulldogs held firm was the outstanding play of goalkeeper Natalie Neal, who turned in a stellar performance. Neal made multiple key saves—especially in the closing minutes—to preserve the one-goal advantage and secure the victory.
The positive night extended to the JV squad as well, with FPC earning a narrow 1–0 win to complete the program sweep over the Barracudas.
FPC now shifts its focus to a crucial district matchup to end the week. The Bulldogs are back on the pitch Friday at home, hosting Sandalwood in an important District 1-7A showdown.
