Lady Bulldogs Strike Gold – FPC Wins District Bowling Championship

The Flagler Palm Coast girls bowling team claimed the FHSAA District 3 Championship in dominant fashion, rolling their way past a competitive field to secure the top spot and punch their ticket to the FHSAA State Championship Tournament.

Led by a balanced effort across the lineup, the Lady Bulldogs posted a team total of 2,219 pins, outpacing rival Matanzas High School (2,110) and Ridgeview (2,076). FPC opened strong with a 791 in Game 1, maintaining their edge through consistent team play in Games 2 and 3.

The Bulldogs’ path to victory was highlighted by strong individual and team efforts. Victoria DaSilva-Carvalheira led FPC with a consistent series, scoring 496 pins over three games, while Destiny Bonvouloir added 486 pins. Kailyn Ball and Isabella Oliva also contributed, scoring 479 and 417 pins respectively, helping the Bulldogs secure the top team spot after the morning ten pen rounds.

The Baker games bracket was a true test of the Bulldogs’ depth, with each player’s contribution proving crucial. The Bulldogs would cruise to an opening round baker win 3-0 over Tallahassee Lincoln, and follow it up with a 3-1 win over rival Matanzas in the semi-final round.  The Bulldogs would again meet up with the Pirates in a crosstown showdown for the overall district championship, with the Bulldogs coming out victorious 3-1 in the final baker match of the day.

Head Coach Vicki Eaton praised the team’s poise under pressure and their season-long commitment to improving frame by frame. “These girls have worked incredibly hard all season,” the coach said. “They’ve supported each other, stayed focused, and earned every bit of this championship.”
